Official Date and Time

Please note that the date and time that will have legal validity in any transaction you carry out through this online office is the official date and time, not that of the device or computer from which you perform the transaction.

The service providing the official date and time is offered by the Royal Naval Observatory, and this online office is synchronized with it.

Regulations:

  • Article 31.2 of Law 39/2015 on the Common Administrative Procedure of Public Administrations states: "The electronic registry of each Administration or Organization shall be governed, for the purpose of time calculation, by the official date and time of the online office, which must include the necessary security measures to ensure its integrity and be displayed in an accessible and visible manner."
  • Article 15.2 of Royal Decree 4/2010, of January 8, which regulates the National Interoperability Framework in the field of electronic administration, states that date and time synchronization shall be carried out with the Royal Institute and Naval Observatory, in accordance with the provisions on legal time in Royal Decree 1308/1992, of October 23.
