ELECTRONIC CERTIFICATES FOR ELECTRONIC SEAL

For the identification and authentication of the exercise of competence in automated administrative actions, Public Administrations can use Electronic Seals based on certificates that meet the requirements established by electronic signature legislation.

An Electronic Seal certificate links signature verification data to the identification and authentication data of a specific Administration, agency, or entity, as well as to the physical person representing the Administration, agency, or entity holding the certificate, and, if applicable, to the personnel to whom delegation is given for automated administrative actions.

For automated administrative actions and procedures managed by this administration, you can download the aforementioned Electronic Seal certificate embedded in the PDF document that could have been automatically generated from the Electronic Headquarters. To verify its validity, you may use the VALIDe service provided by the Ministry of the Presidency for this purpose.

Once you have accessed the service, follow these instructions:

  1. Access the option “Validate Certificate.”
  2. Select the previously downloaded certificate.
  3. Enter the security code shown.
